It's been ten years since the publication of A Beautiful Child and the one enduring question that had yet to be answered is "who was Sharon Marshall?" There are thousands of readers around the world who've asked me that question, while many at organizations such as the Doe Network have tried to conduct their own searches. Readers sent names of missing children wto me, and I forwarded them to either the National Center for Missing Children in D.C. or Joe Fitzpatrick, the retired FBI agent who lead the investigation into the Michael Hughes kidnapping. While we had Sharon's DNA sample, nothing matched. On Wednesday, Oct. 1, I received a call from Joe informing me that Sharon had finally been positively identified. The details were sketchy, but he gave me the name. I then spoke to her family today (Friday). The news was true. I can't share all the details, but here's what I can say.... Her name is Suzanne Marie Sevakis and she was from North Carolina. For those who read the book, you'll recall Floyd fled Florida in 1973 after violating his parole. He ended up in North Carolina a year later using another alias and met a recently divorced woman with four children - three young daughters and infant son. Floyd and the woman later married, and in 1975 the woman was sentenced to 30 days in jail for a minor crime. When she was released Floyd was gone and so where her children. She found two daughters at a local social services agency, where Floyd had taken them. The mother went to the local police and FBI and tried to file kidnapping charges but they declined to investigate saying that since Floyd was their stepfather he apparently had a right to take the children. Three months later, Floyd and Suzanne, then six years old, were in Oklahoma City. Her little brother was never found. The mother and her family, including her parents, brother and sister-in-law, never gave up the search. Alas, there wasn't much to go on. Earlier this year the FBI interviewed Floyd in prison in Florida and somehow gleaned the info about the woman. They visited with her in June, showed her the photos of Floyd and Suzanne (her sitting on his lap). The woman immediately identified him as her husband and Sharon as her daughter. The agents took a DNA sample and four weeks later (in July) visited with the mother again to inform her the test was a positive match. The young woman we knew as Sharon Marshall was indeed Suzanne. The FBI then shared with her some details of Suzanne's sad fate, but recommended she read A Beautiful Child. The woman and her surviving children and family all read the book. Needless to say they are devastated. The agents also told the family not to discuss the case given they were also looking into the disappearance of Suzanne's son Michael. Floyd apparently was also willing to give some information about Michael but sadly, he admitted to killing Michael and, I'm told, the FBI was resigned to believe him. The agents called the family this week with the news that Michael was likely dead. They have an idea of the location of his remains and plan to search the area. Since the authorities in North Carolina didn't take a missing person report, Suzanne was never listed in any missing persons database, which is why it has been impossible to this point to find her. Suzanne's story was heartbreaking and, judging by reader responses, has touched them deeply, which is why many who have read the book and followed this case have kept it alive these years with their sleuthing, web postings and discussions. And that's why law enforcement remained involved for so long, with the incredible work of the FBI that brought it to a close. Others who had always been involved in the search include Gerry Nance of the NCMEC (since retired), Ed Kumiega, Asst. U.S. Attorney in Oklahoma City, Bob Schock and Mark DeSearo of the St. Petersburg, Fla Police Dept and of course, Joe Fitzpatrick. Joe retired from the FBI in the late 1990s but since our initial meeting fishing amidst the snakes in OKC in 2003, he and I have remained in steady contact. He funneled suggestions from readers to FBI officials, helped facilitate with Gerry Nance a number of DNA tests, and remained an integral part of the search for Sharon. There were some DNA tests where we had our hopes up, only to be eventually dashed. You'll recall Joe had resolved every one of his cases...except for one. Now there are none. In addition, our deep thanks and appreciation go to the FBI in Oklahoma City. There are other details I can't share yet but take my word they did amazing work. Suzanne's family is still digesting all of this and will need some time. In addition, there may be a meeting with Suzanne's surviving daughter (whom you'll recall she gave birth to in New Orleans in 1989). I'm in contact with the daughter, a beautiful college grad, who's expressed an interest in meeting her biological family. That may now happen sooner than later. And finally, we can now put Suzanne's real name on her tombstone at the Park Grove Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Suzanne Marie Sevakis. Peace.

All my questions are answered, but there is no closure. Poor little Suzanne. Knowing is like reopening a wound and pouring salt in it. Poor little girl. No one was even really looking for her. Matt Birkbeck, how are the answers affecting you?

Sharia law, STFU you moron. This whole case is a clusterfuck of clusterfucks. The Suzanne and her little brother were betrayed by the system that was supposed to protect them. Suzanne seemed like a bright girl that was put through hell time and time again. I hope there is a heaven so that she can be given the hope and love she didn't receive in this life. When I hear this story it makes me lose hope that the human race can be saved. There is so much evil in this world I pray to god that the next world exists so that evil pricks like Floyd can feel the despair and hurt they inflict on good people that don't deserve it.

Children too often fall between the cracks because they aren't important to law enforcement or the Courts. They don't vote, nor do they contribute to political campaigns. They are non-entities. It seems their abusers/killers face no real consequences for their actions from the legal system.

I'm a born again Christian...with that stated God hates all sin. Sometimes dovorce is inevitable. You are correct in moms being weary of pedophilles but I imagine God is more angry that local police & FBI did NOTHING to investigate & see if the kids were ok. When a step-dad disappears with 2 kids, leaves others with the State & no answers while his wife *and the maternal parent) was in jail for 30 days...common sense is to INVESTIGATE the man! I believe because he was a white male, he received privilege & the children's welfare was at stake. IF this is any indication of the kind of men & treatment women faced during this time period...no wonder they DIVORCED

Many have tried what they could to save me from this evil man. Who was attempting to build a system of power and control over humanity using well meaning individuals who wanted to rescue people like me. What does it take for you to want to get involved in rescuing a child from an abusive situation? If you don’t does that mean you don’t love that child? Pedophiles live children and appreciate them and are the ones that sacrificed the most in order for me to be saved and to stay alive. I am Sergei Wright. Michael Marshall. Especially given the amount of domestic/biological abductions, that are illegal! This is a crazy story from start to finish! I am Michael. I appreciate all help I’ve received. We need to act fast. My younger brother and my mother are both safe in Florida. I am okay and safe in 1000 palms California. Currently attempting to prove where my father Haviland Wright is. Because I fear for the rest of my family’s safety. My father is the kidnapper. He is a brutal and cruel individual and I cannot contact my family. I believe my brother and mother could be in a hostage situation if I don’t keep my father distracted long enough to extract them. Look up Sergei Wright or Haviland Wright and find out where he is so I can feel safe with seeking medical attention myself. But I am safe. My father is the only person responsible for everything. He is possibly in Arizona or near me in my apartment sublet in 31737 shelter dr. Thousand palms, CA 92276 apt B. Trust fund inheritance scam and “game”. Or somehow close by to me because I heard his voice today when I was using the restroom. My phone number is +17606778341. I am busy distracting him to save my family. But I am safe now and need help making sure the rest of my family is safe. Facebook messenger add Sergei Wright. Contact me. I can verify everything.

Ms. Emanuel, what did you teach? I graduated from FPHS in 1987 and was in Ms. King's AP Chemistry class with Sharon (she will always be Sharon to me) during the 1984-85 SY. I also worked at FPHS from 2000-2005. I spoke with Matt after reading the book and asked if he would please let me know if they ever ID'd Sharon but, I moved and got married after I left FP in '05 so he had no way to get back in touch with me, unfortunately. Sharon was happy and sarcastic (like me! :) while she was at school. She never studied for tests and when I asked her why she said that she had a photographic memory so she didn't have to study. I worked at the movie theater (across from Southlake) and during the grand opening she came in with her boyfriend (which I believe was named Spencer) and her "father"! I asked why he came and she said that since her 'mother had died' that he did not trust her to be around boys without him. When I found out what became of Sharon I became physically ill. Did she know/remember that he had taken her? Did she actually think that her mother had passed? It is such a sad story. I will always remember how funny she was and how much fun we had during class when we should have been paying attention! Rest in Peace, Moose.

Thanks be to all of the people who have cared and never forgotten this case!!! I am happy to know that Sharon was really Suzanne, but my heart and soul still hurt for the pain that she felt, and the loss to humanity of a soul that was truly beautiful. If there is a follow-up book, it would be great to call it "A Beautiful Soul"... because she was.

I first read about the case back in 1998 when doing true crime research and connecting the dots between the different cases and tangled web. So glad they finally know who she was and where she had come from. I'm sure it devastated her family but they had a right to know what had happened to her too. Thanks for the update.

I don't think Suzanne's mother could file a missing person's report. It was the 1970s. Even as late as the early 1980s, women and children were still considered property of the husband. Under the law at that time, it was not illegal for the stepfather to take her. I know it seems insane, today, but that's how it was. So therefore, Suzanne was not legally considered a "missing" person. Her mother and the authorities didn't know his true identity. Due to this, they didn't have any reason to think that Suzanne was in danger. If they had known who Floyd really was, the case would have been handled differently. My mother-in-law's ex-husband stole their infant twin boys back in the 1960s, while she was separated from her ex-husband. No one would help her find them or get them back. Her ex-husband kept moving them around. At one point, when they were older and no longer remembered her, she found them in TX. Her ex wouldn't let them see her. They were so brainwashed against her that they didn't want to see her. They found her, when they were in their 30s.

Maggie, that is so heartbreaking. It's amazing how child abusers condition and groom their victims. And to think we have a justice system that allows these things to fly under the radar. A mother is forcibly separated from her own children and the law does nothing, unbelievable.
Lynnette

Maggie-That's heartbreaking & truly evil culture if true that it was normative to be considered the husbands property. I was born in the 70's and it was not normal for us or others in Maryland. I'm soooo glad the boys found her in their 30's. My heart breaks for what I can only imagine this moms pain. In all honesty, I would have hired some muscle to get them back via my own 'kidnapping' and headed overseas or to Canada rather then leave them with a man set upon not allowing me contact with my own children out of spite. Its despicable.

Okay this comment is from five years ago and I doubt anyone will see it. I also know that I have limited knowledge on all of this. But, with this said, I ask that you please DO NOT DRAG CLIFF SEVAKIS THROUGH THE MUD on this manner. IT IS NOT HIS FAULT. HE DID NOT KNOW THAT HE HAD A CHILD. As someone with family connections to this case and knows Cliff, I assure you that he is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and was someone that I admired so much as I child. It was not until the mid 2010’s that DNA testing confirmed the link between these two people and Cliff was informed of his child and her tragic story. Again, I know that I do not know many details, but I do know that ever since Cliff has lived with this knowledge, it has wrecked him mentally with guilt. So many aspects of this story are horrifying and there are people to blame, but Cliff Sevakis is not one of them.

I agree. It has always bothered me that Sandi seems to take the brunt of the blame for Suzanne ending up with Floyd. She wouldn't have had a write a bad check for diapers if she had adequate child support. It seems like Clifford signed off on his daughter, got a free pass to go on with his life and never looked back. Yet Sandi is villainized in the book and Cliff is painted sympathetically???? And where were his parents when he was unable or unwilling to support his child. Adopt all three kids or none, my ass. That isn't how child services works. He may not have known that, but it sure doesn't look like he nor his family cared to, either.

I knew her as Tonya when she worked for my father in Tulsa. My father is the one who paid for her funeral. we have often wondered over the years if she had ever been identified. The last we knew she was Sharon. An old friend of ours recently sent my father and I some pictures from back in the day. A couple of them was of "Tonya". Seeing those photo's brought back so many memories of her and our time of knowing her. Everyone who knew her then, knew she was suffering inside but she always tried her best to be perky and look happy. She never once had a harsh word to say about anyone except for Floyd. And only then it was brief and she would change the subject. I can not express how happy I am to finally know her real name and to know her headstone will be changed. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to her real family. Please know, my father and I love her very much as do anyone of the people from Passion's in Tulsa. We have always felt she was a part of our family and always will be. I pray Michael is safe but if not, then I pray he is in his mommy's loving arms. To her daughter: Your mother was a beautiful kind loving woman. May God be with you all.

It's so well known and so all over the place I just wonder how they didn't see it. Please understand this is not a criticism on the family... perhaps they never had access to the internet? As a mother I cannot begin to imagine what Sharon's mother has had to go through all of these years. God knows what lies that monster told her about her mother and siblings--or worse, maybe he told her the truth! It breaks my heart to think of the life of horror that sweet girl was forced to endure. I would give anything to change this story so that in the end Sharon and her mother and family finally get to experience true happiness and Floyd receives his deserved justice.

I also, like bamaslamma, wonder how Suzanne's mother never saw the media coverage of Floyd and Sharon? And speaking of media, I wonder why they aren't picking up this story now? If this has been solved, it gives me hope that the country's 2nd most puzzling child-identity case (the 3 little girls and a woman found in barrels in Allenstown NH) will finally be solved. More on that story at oakhillresearch.blogspot.com

I read the book a beautiful child. My heart broke for both suzanne and Michael having to live with this worthless piece of garbage and having to endure horrific lives and deaths. Franklin Delano Floyd is exactly where he needs to to on florida's death row! The sooner he dies the better of the entire world will be and this piece of crap can fit in hell where it deserves to go!!!!

I had a chance to look at the web page. I was born in the mid 80s, this is the first time i've heard about this case. My chest was hurting just from reading about it, but when I scroll down and saw the picture of Suzanne holding her son's hand, he had the biggest cute smile. That just killed me! My heart aches even more, my eyes is watery, and that overwhelming feeling of sadness and devastation. I really really wish they had a different path, I wish I could save them. I gotta get off this site, I can't see straight anymore........

I found both her parents on facebook. I can't understand why neither one of them did anything about this! Even after all these years if her mother went to the police and said my daughter has been missing since the 1970's, they would still turn her away?! I call bs on that one. Something is very wrong with this picture.

Dear Dorothy, I am very sorry that your family has experienced this tragedy. I find some of the judgmental and harsh comments disgusting, especially considering all the facts and details are not available to the public. I have a friend involved in the Justice System, and she knows many true crime stories. When I told my friend about your sister, she had never heard of the case. May compassion be with you and your family.

I read Birbeck's book years ago and have been haunted since then. Suzanne was a remarkable woman and closure is bittersweet...I always knew her parents gave her the indomitable spirit and intelligence she had...I am amazed that I am one year behind on this discovery as I checked periodically on the case...I will continue to pray for your family...Suzanne touched so many hearts of those who knew her and total strangers who knew her thru the book...

It was the 1970s. Women and children were still considered to be property of the husband. Therefore, it was not considered a kidnapping. No one knew Floyd's true identity, when he kidnapped Suzanne and her siblings. If they had known who Floyd truly was, it would have been different. Suzanne would have been considered to be endangered.

Crista, it could be. Since it was from1970s, it would be a cold case of such monumental proportions, they might turn her away. It would depend on who she made contact with.

Though I agree it is a jumbled fishind net of hooks and knots its all so fishy, but at the same time it was the 70s. Laws to protect children were not an any way the same. We rode our cikes alone, we took candy from neighbots, we trusted people and felt a sense of safety as apposed to this generation we are responsible for completely letting down. Take into consideration this was her husband and you wouldnt leave your children with your husband? Of course you would or you wouldnt marry them. She obviously searched and went for help because she regained custody after locating Suzannes sisters. As for her putting the first and last child up for adoption I think he knew those were his and wanted nothing that could tie them together. Especially since that would expose his life or rather lie. But she probably put them up knowing, especially as a girl baby, she would be handing her to a monster. So sad. I agree with all of you. We all are rooting for her surviving children. I pray they will agree to meet her family so they can have a part of her. I see sadness in her eyes and no smile but 1 pic. God, i could kill this man. Never thought it capable but this story is so full of damaged lives. " Suzanne, you sre all of our daughter now sweetheart. I know you and Michael and Cheryl can do and go wherever you want. Shine bright our little star so you will forever be a beacon in the night for those victims of future deaths such as this.

I did a search also of the trailer park in which they lived in close by here glad to see that it is gone. Juliet, it was the late 60s, early 70s things were so different then , no self respecting good ol boy southern police dept. would take a woman seriously, esp. one that was in jail for a period of time , they probably said something like "she is better off with step dad" Im not a bit surprised, people are different though I would not have ever let it go .....if her Dad had bothered to try, they might have done something! just my opinion of course.

Back in the 70's thar was very common. Step parents could do whatever they wanted to their step kids and could go anywhere with them without anyone thinking twice about it. Child abuse and safety laws didn't really go into place until a little girl in California was kidnapped and killed, early 90's I believe. And I can tell you all from experiance that even in 2001 then

I read ur book quite a few years ago. loved it. it's so sad that she never got to experience the love of a normal family (except those rare sleepovers at a friends house). she didn't know what normal was. she was robbed of that. being so young when mom went to jail, there is no telling what pedo-perv told her. how would she ever know any different. god, such a tragedy. it really makes my heart feel heavy. but in so many ways she was a hell of a fighter and a hero. having a natural love of science and being a math whiz, she really did have the beauty and brains to rock NASA! and it's a shame she couldn't. I feel like science itself was potentially robbed! who knows what she could have accomplished?

I too have been following this case for about 20 years now and you would have to be living under a ROCK not to have seen or heard of this girl!! My God she was on the FRONT PAGE OF THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER!!! JOHN WALSH, UNSOLVED MYSTERIES!!! Nope, no way the bio family didn't know this had happened. And like Fliyd they are keeping their secrets till the end. As for Suzanne's baby brother? How do you think Floyd kept her in check & so terrified all those years? My guess is he killed that baby in front of her soon after ditching her sisters. And yes Michael is dead Floyd confessed to his sister he drown Michael in a motel bathtub shortly after he kidnapped him from school with that worthless cowardice a principal. Suzanne was too much trouble to worry about. Oh well. One less mouth to feed. She's safe in Jesus's arms now. Done with the unworthy ppl who should have turned on a TV or read a newspaper. And her mother going to "jail for 30 days" speaks volumes from where she cam from. Suzanne's surviving children should stear clear or them & remember their mother with what they already know. She was a sacrificial lamb in a cold and uncaring world. Rest in Peace with your baby Michael Suzanne.

I was kidnapped by my bio father at 2 in 1960. He rang the doorbell & I ran to see who it was. My Papa was fixing a pipe near the front door with a monkey wrench, he chased my father out the door and threw the wrench threw my father's windshield. My father took me straight to the police station & told them my Papa had shot the window out LOL!! They had my father tied to a chair when my mother got there because my father had destroyed the station (he was a HUGE freeking man!!) this was in Dallas Texas btw so yea i do know a little about how things were back then. My mother was a single mom and worked to support me & my 1/2 brother on minimum wage with zero child support or any kind of assistance while also being an alcoholic. But she never wrote bad checks, she would have kept on looking everyday, read newspapers, watched John Walsh, Unsolved mysteries and would have been the one to CONTACT THEM to get my story out there. How could NONE of Suzanne's family members MISS ALL OF THE NEWS AND PICTURES OF HER AND FLOYD ALL THESE YEARS?? I am very curious to know how you could not have seen one of the most infamous cases in this country for the last 20 years?? No electricity? Completely illiterate?? No posters or attempts to TRY to find her by her family in the last two decades AT ALL?? And if so, Why not??

And they where not going to help her. All we have of my sister is baby pics and we didn't know what she would look like. Also with my mother and father both working sometimes we were not able to have cable. So I'm sorry for what happened to you with your father,. If the bio family only had baby pics of Suzanne, they surely should have recognized the most famous photo from this case: Suzanne sitting on Floyd's lap. They did not have to know the guy's or even the child's names, they did not have to see photos of adult Suzanne/Sharon. The only photo they needed to identify their DAUGHTER was the title photo of this case, and you could not have even a slight interest in missing persons and not to have come across this case. Millions of strangers are very familiar with this case, even though they did not have anybody of their family disappeared. But her own family - never had a clue???? Never searched the internet??? Sorry, very hard to believe.

It is perplexing that her family was unaware, especially with that pic of Suzanne on Floyds lap being so widely circulated in the media. Not being judgemental, just so tragic that the dots werent connected. Maybe there were extenuating circumstances. I do hope Suzannes story will be told in some way, either book, show or movie. But if not, it is a blessing that she has finally been identified

This cannot be the only case that "fell through the cracks", the only case where police departments refused to make a report. Is anyone thinking of starting a database for other missing children/people that the authorities have refused to act on for whatever reason? I have been following this case for years also, and I can't believe that her identity being established hasn't garnered more attention in the news. I just stumbled over the update today in Wikipedia. I hope her baby boy and her baby brother's remains are someday located and placed near to her.

A database for that would be great but there are so many privicy laws to consider , unless a person is listed, it would be" lawsuits waiting to happen" , people are allowed to dissappear, alot do, its unfortunate that the ones who dissappear willingly keep the ones who dont from getting extra help :(

Forgive me for being skeptical, as I am glad to see this case finally become solved, but did the mother or her family ever do so much as a Google search for missing persons? The photo of Suzanne and Floyd have been on The Doe Network, NCMEC, Charlie Project, NAMUS, Web Sleuths, and countless other sites for many years. Floyd, Suzanne, and Michael have been featured multiple times on shows like Unsolved Mysteries and America's Most Wanted, and Floyd has even been interviewed by the press on national news outlets. Am I right in assuming that not the mother nor one person in her family saw these things, or if they did then they just didn't recognize them or didn't connect the dots?

As far as nobody doing a Google search, not everyone is privy to having the internet or a computer, or they may just not have the knowledge of how to use it. I have a sister that has never used the internet, nor sent or read a text message on her cellphone. She's not iliterate or anything. She just doesn't believe she could learn how, although she runs a household and pays the bills just fine. A lot of people are not into crime shows, Unsolved Mysteries, AMW, etc. I'm sure Suzanne's family never thought her daughter's disappearance would end up this way. I found a missing young man who's mother had no knowledge whatsoever of the Doenetwork, nor sites for the missing and unidentified. I also found my grandfather and only learned of such sites by doing a Google search for "unidentified man." But, like I said, somebody neither have a computer or the knowledge (or belief that they haven't) of the internet. I just found out today that our girl has been identified. I never thought I'd see the day. I also think Floyd is up to no good. There's information we don't know, yet. I'm just glad we have a name for this precious child and her family finally knows. Now, we've got 2 boys to find.

Floyd has that Southern Accent (I have it too) but when he said:" Sandra" it came out to whoever he was talking to as Linda" either he was lying or it was said and mis heard, and yes she thought her legal name was Sandra Williams , he (Floyd) went by Brandon Cleo Williams

I'm so happy that this beauty was finally "found" in terms of her spirit and that all of us who have followed this story were given her name. It helps us put her in a frame of sorts. She did have a family. She was loved. She was missed. She had a mom. She had a dad! I firmly believe she is resurrected in the arms of Jesus. He never left her. He was always with her. I think Floyd is such a sociopathic opportunist. He saw a vulnerable young mom trying to figure out how to survive with 4 children. Floyd was a handsome charmer and weaved his way in that home and that family and pounced when he saw his opportunity. It was always about getting a child and never about Susanne's mom I'm sure. I'm sure Susanne's mom has immense guilt for ever trusting that monster and letting him in. Also I'm not sure how she would have searched for Susanne at that time in history. I didn't get a computer until 2000 myself. I'm happy Susanne's sisters were spared. My heart goes out to this family. What a dark dangerous man Floyd is. And he's in prison. And he will die in prison or be put to death. Now he is a weak little man with nothing but damage in his wake. He has someone to answer to. It will not be pretty. God will not be mocked. Just so happy this woman has a name now. I hope I get to meet her in heaven. I will hug her. If she will let me.

Hoping her family receives more answers about their daughter, son, and grandbaby. I can not imagine what they've gone through. That's what I'd like to know. Seems the brothers disappearance is of no concern to anyone. They're looking for Michaels remains, but seems there's no concern for finding Suzanne little brother. This case will never be closed, as far as I'm concerned. He's just a forgotten little boy.

I have been reading the comments on here and I am astounded at the number of judgmental and ignorant comments on this board. Obviously, some people have a reading comprehension problem. Suzanne's/Sharon's mother and family did look for her. Suzanne was taken by a her stepfather, who used an alias, when he married her mother. Under the law at that time, Floyd/Trenton was considered to be her legal guardian because he was her stepfather. Even into the 1980s, women and children were still considered to be the property of the husband. Since the authorities didn't know Floyd's true identity, Suzanne was not considered to be endangered.

Is there any more information about Michael Hughes? I was in the classroom the day he was abducted, while we were young I considered him a friend. I have always wonder what happened to him. I try to look for info from time to time but the latest I've seen is that Floyd may have murdered him but nothing confirmed.

Floyd finally admitted that he shot him in the head shortly after he took him and he told the FBI where he put the body. Last heard, they were going through all sand, etc. in an effort to find anything that indicates his body was there.

I'm surprised this story hasn't gained more attention. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that her family would like their privacy (which makes total sense). But this hasn't gotten much media presence, has it? I have so many questions: what happened to her brother, for example? There's hardly any information about him. Has anyone tried interviewing Floyd recently? He ruined so many lives; I hope he's miserable. What a terrible excuse for a human being.

Interesting case that I have read up on over the years. I was actually surprised when her identity was located. I am by no means trying to be rude, judgemental or ignorant, however, I have some questions. Where was Cliff Sevakis in the aftermath of his daughter's abduction? Also, who is the father of the missing brother & where was he when his child disappeared? I find it hard to believe that the police would have turned away both parents if they reported their children missing after Sandy apparently got nowhere. Also, why was she jailed for 30 days over a bounced check if it was a first offense? Was it her first offense? I looked up Cliff Sevakis online & he is a college graduate whose career involved use of the internet. So why did he not search for Suzanne? I'll buy the possibility that Sandy may not have been computer literate as her other daughter states is the case, but not the father. My belief that something is off here by no means makes me ignorant or judgemental. This case continues to be bizarre, strange.....there are just some questions that are hard to ignore. Is there a missing persons posting or site for the brother? The questions continue.....

I was thinking about this as well. My immediate inclination is toward laziness and bias of the police handling her bounced check case and familial dispute.

This is obviously very delayed and I know I do not have too much information, but I am related to this by marriage. Cliff Sevakis DID NOT KNOW HE HAD A DAUGHTER. It was not until many years later that DNA testing that he was contacted. Cliff Sevakis is a wonderful man and he had no clue that he was even remotely related to this until police tracked him down in the early 2000’s. I know I am not too knowledgeable on this, but I ask you to not drag his name through the dirt.

I remember her we were good friends. I was in ROTC with her and I can remember taking her home and her telling me I couldn't come in or she couldn't stay over or have anyone stay with her. That would have been my 10th grade year (84-85). I got out of ROTC and we stopped hanging out side of school. This story shocks and breaks my Heart. She was a very sweet and caring person. It is so hard to believe this could happen to someone you know and were friends with.

Just curious, in school were there no signs of Sharon being mistreated or abused? Did she not talk to anyone about her "father"? Did not one teacher or school counselor pick up on any signs from Suzanne that that her home life was abnormal? Didn't she confide in anyone, like the girl who slept at her home and had a gum pointed at her by Floyd. Why wasn't that reported? I just don't understand why no one helped this poor, tragic victim.

Went to FPSH as Ray Thornton. Sharon and I were very close. I just want to say that this beautiful person touched so many lives in such a positive way. She was a friend that took you at fave value. She stayed true to you. She would have you come over and not allow you in. Get dad ( Floyd) was very scary. I posted her ROTV sweetheart picture in my FB page.

Well it is extremely coincidental that Suzanne's baby brother's (name even?) abduction has followed in the same exact steps as Suzzane's did. No "missing child" registrations, not one baby picture, birthday, possible hair/eye coloring, no birthdate, no questioning old friends or neighbors, was he abducted in Dallas? .....absolutely NOTHING. So what's the excuse this time for "The loving family" doing nothing?? I am going to take a guess that Suzanne's mother was/is either mentally challenged or possibly a drunkard all these many years. That would explain a LOT. All those kids, no father's sticking around, so many different men so frequently. If Suzanne's bio father had the decency to explain a few things I think there would be a lot of answers. In the meantime I will say ~R i P~ little unnamed, unknown baby brother. No one may be looking for you but I promise you, you are not forgotten. 👼

Evidence points to the kidnapped baby boy as Phillip Steven Brandenburg, born April 1974. Very interesting that Suzanne Sevakis' mother married "Brandon Cleo Williams" 1 month and 2 days later.

I am very happy that all of the people including myself now know this beautiful young ladies name. I am happy for her family especially her mother to at least know where she was. But also she can't want to be in the public eye because so many people will and do blame her. I don't know the family but I do believe this woman probably tried really hard to figure out where her daughter was. I think it is contemptible for people to blame her. I am around the same age as as Suzanne and my mother possibly wouldn't have found the stuff on the Internet either but she would have been doing what she could to figure out how to find me. I was one of the many people who followed and tried to solve this. I actually met and made some friends along the way. Most of us if we think about it can realize that some of us just have an easier time with some things then others. I searched by states as I am sure many others did because there was no national database when Suzanne Sevakis went missing. She never came up obviously but her family says that was the law then because her step father (Floyd) was considered a parent. That is the truth I have experiences that let me know this is true. I do hope when the show is on May 2nd that her mother and sisters are on it. Mainly her mother though because people should not be blaming her. She has now basicly lost her daughter twice. And before at least she had hope she was alive. So if h r r sisters are still on here reading this know that we aren't all trying to blame your mother for this and that we feel terrible for your family and only hope the best for you. Some of us would really like to see and hear from you because we made Suzanne a part of our lives to. So as such I want to give the family my heartfelt sympathy and say you are a part of my family now also. May your daughter/sister now rest in peace and may your family heal and take care of one another as I hope you have always done all the years your sweet Suzanne has been missing. God bless you all.

Hello friends! My Name is Michael Elizabeth from Canada I have had a lot about Dr Ajaguna on his good work, for bringing back lost relationship but I never believe because so many spell caster scam me because of my husband who left me and three kids over a year and two months. so a good friend of mine introduce me to Dr Ajaguna just because my condition was so bad and the responsibility in my matrimonial home was more than me. my husband left me to another woman just because I don't have male child for him. so I email Dr Ajaguna and told him everything, he told me not to worry that my husband will come back and I will have a male child for him. he only told me to believe on him that after casting the spell my husband will come back immediately and beg for forgiveness. he really did it for me and my husband come back to me in the next two days. I was very happy and thanks DR Ajaguna. And I then told Dr Ajaguna that I will start shearing his testimony to every one in the world if he make me to have a male child for my husband. And he also did it. As am shearing this testimony to everyone out there, that am with my new bouncy baby boy. now I believe that I am the happiest woman on earth because Dr Ajaguna restore my life in my matrimonial home you can thank him for me or email him for urgent help in any bad situation I promise you he will also help you.Email: [email protected] Website: http://ajaguna7demons-com.webs.com

I watched a Dateline special about this last night. It made me sick that this filthy sob is apparently still breathing. Why hasn't Franklin Delano Floyd been executed yet? The death penalty was made for him. I'd like to see him suffer through a botched execution. He still wouldn't suffer enough for his crimes, but at least he'd be in some pain. For some inexplicable reason he's been coddled by the criminal justice system for decades.

I just finished, Finding Sharon... SMH, The actions of her father were what I suspected, in that, he had NO IDEA what had become of his child. What mother never tells the biological father his child is "missing". I will tell you, she's the kind of mother who marries a man after knowing him 2 weeks. Just to "look good the State" because her children have been removed from her care... This is also the kind of mother who DOES't look for baby, she's same kind of mother, who says, "it's no one's business"and "leave it alone", when asked about her missing child. This same mother who lies to her daughter as to real identity her real father. And hitch hikes to another state in order to "sell" her remaining children, because she read a newspaper article

Just learning about this vile thing. It had kidnapped and raped a girl early on, so instead of keeping it in prison they released it....... so it kidnaps rapes and destroys several children and women, now it sits on death row filing appeal after appeal after appeal..... it was correctly sentenced to death , it needs to be executed. Murderer lovers will whine and cry if it ever comes up for execution that we shouldn't execute a "feeble elderly man with a bad childhood", it needs to be put down already.

I'd like to say thank you Matt for writing such an incredible book. I can't tell you how much it fills my heart to know at least Suzanne's little girl survived. I'm thankful you've update everyone on her biological family and she can finally rest in peace. This story might be one of the last true crime I read for a while. I was severely abused as a child as well. Unfortunately for me it was my biological father. I never came forward because of shame, and now too many years have passed to prsecute. But it gives me relief knowing at least scum like Floyd are in prison. Thank you for writing it.

My husband and I have been married for over 10 years. We met when I was 18 and he was 21. We’ve been through a lot emotionally together. There were several HUGE fights and painful situations in our marriage, but we always seemed to come out stronger on the other side. Out of the blue my husband just sprung the divorce talk on me, I was totally depressed until I found Dr.Todd website online and i ordered for a Love spell. You won’t believe my husband called me at the exact time this spell caster finished his spell work in 24hours. I was totally amazed! He is wonderful and his spells work so fast. This story made me weep all night long. How can a mother ever think of getting involved with a serial killer? How ignorant or desperate was she? Definitely she had to be like him, cold and heartless. And how could they ever let him out in the streets again? What laws are they running in this place?

This whole case is odd and so difficult as not to judge her mom. You have Johnny fish’s mom still looking and this lady just moved on. I know tge 70s sucked for parental rights but it seems that one less child was ok with her. Sharron was stunning her whole life and I can’t imagine the molestation hell and hold he had on her. I think everyone was quick to blame Cliff Sevakis, it’s nature to always blame men first. The truth is, her mother was deplorable. She did not make any efforts to search for her babies , Suzy or Phillip. Horrible woman. She bounced a check for buying milk, but later on was found out to be a prostitute and tried to sell her children. I’m very angry at the mother more than anyone in this whole story. Main thing here is that Philip is forever forgotten!

Thank you for saying all that. I feel like this so called mother should be in jail along with Floyd. She was abusing her children long before be came along. What also burned me about that woman, she didn't have her daughters headstone changed! It was her daughters friends who took care of the headstone. When the it was replaced this so called mother was not there! She made a comment on facebook, something like ,"I couldn't make it." I don't care what the situation is, you go visit the grave of murdered child kidnapped child.

Actually, the mother went to the local authorities, and was told that that Floyd was within his rights to take the children and they did not help her. So, she may have placed too much faith in the authorities to do the right thing and help her.

All of suzie siblings have been found, alive and well, living their own lives and children. Far as I know suzie sisters went back to their mother and their mothers 3rd husband and had more siblings. Suzie brother phillip, was adopted and came forward in 2019 for a DNA test which was positive. Phillip now has contact with his birth mother and father and siblings. That said, I am glad they all altogether again, apart from what happen to suzie, the question still remains. WHERE IS MICHAEL. The book cannot be closed, as it is not a story. #FINDMICHAEL

How are you feeling today? My once good and loving father suddenly changed and started being a bad father towards my mum and us the children for 2 years, he always came back home drunk and always shouted at us for the slightest mistake and hit my mom, my mom has caught him cheating on her severally and all this makes the family unhappy. I was tired and looking for a means to bring back happiness in my family when I stumbled on someone describing how a powerful spiritual man called Dr Ajayi helped her cure diabetes with herbs and getting back her husband who had left her for 8 months. I copied Dr Ajayi's contact and messaged him, explaining the situation in my family, Dr Ajayi told me things that needed to be done to bring back peace in the family and I followed all his instructions, to my surprise after some days my father called us together and apologized for his ill-treatment towards the family and as from that day till today all we know peace and love in our home. If you are experiencing a difficult life situation and need a lasting solution Dr Ajayi is your last stop, I have experienced his gifted powers.
